Recreational vehicles have many ports of call in the valley. Rates are competitive, with many costing less than $20 a day. The parks listed here all have full hookups and accept pets unless otherwise indicated. Most parks do a brisk business and encourage reservations.
Boulder Lakes RV Resort

Driving into Las Vegas from the east on Boulder Highway, you’ll find this 417-space resort one mile south of the corner of Tropicana Avenue. All spaces have full hook-ups, but there are no pull-throughs. Among the amenities are four swimming pools, a convenience store, laundry facilities, and restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers. Tents are not allowed.
California Hotel-Casino and RV Park

This freeway-close location, at the junction of I-15 and U.S. Highway 95, is a great place for downtown visitors. It’s an easy two-block walk to the Fremont Street Experience and its 10 casinos. The 220-space lot is gated and includes a swimming pool, Jacuzzi, showers and laundry.
Circusland RV Park

Just off The Strip next to the Circus Circus hotel-casino, Circusland is a favorite for families. With the hotel’s indoor amusement park, Grand Slam Canyon, just steps away and scores of casinos within easy walking distance, you won’t have to do much driving once you pull in. The 369-space facility has a monorail to the casino and a fenced run for pets, plus a pool, Jacuzzi, supply store and laundry facilities. Because Circusland is so popular, it limits visitors to two-week stays.

Set up camp here for a day, a month or more. Discounted long-term rates are available at this 240-space facility that has a store, showers, a pool and Jacuzzi. Kids will enjoy the playground, and adults will like the free shuttle to casinos. This is one of the very few parks that allows tents too.
Oasis Las Vegas RV Resort

Across I-15 from Silverton, this south-end park is another convenient port of entry for RV campers coming up from California. With a mind-boggling 700 spaces, the Oasis has a resort-style clubhouse with banquet facilities, a ballroom and even a wedding garden. The pool is adjacent to a sandy beach, and duffers will enjoy the 18-hole putting course. A large store and a children’s playground make the Oasis almost a city unto itself.
Sam’s Town Boulder RV Park

Along the old eastern entrance to town, Sam’s Town RV Park offers 291 spaces, along with a pool, showers, store and laundry. The facility is a treat for country-western fans who enjoy the boot-scooting musical entertainment offered by neighboring Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall. And since Sam’s Town is on the way to Lake Mead, this is also a good staging area for anglers and boaters.
Sam’s Town Nellis RV Park

Closed during summers, this RV park comes alive when snowbirds wing their way west for all but the warmest months in Las Vegas. The park’s situated just around the corner from Sam’s Town Hotel & Gambling Hall on Boulder Highway. Sites are roomy, and there’s a heated pool and spa and a recreation room with a pool table and kitchen. Also, 14 of its 207 spaces are pull-throughs. To qualify for the snowbird rate, RVers must stay at least 3 months and may stay as long as 6 months. No tents are allowed.

If you’re coming in from California, this is a good place to drop your anchor. Just a couple of miles south of The Strip off Interstate 15, you can settle in here before braving the craziness of Las Vegas traffic. Silverton’s 460 spaces are, well, spacious, measuring 60 feet by 12 feet. And each is cable and phone ready. There’s a minimart, pool, showers, laundry and shuttle to the hotel.
Sunrise Resort RV Park

Just up the road apiece from Sam’s Town, Sunrise Resort offers a 239-space lot. The facility features a modern recreation room with pool tables and exercise equipment. A pool and barbecue area are also on the grounds. And you can leave the driving to others by taking Sunrise’s free shuttle to casinos along Boulder Highway.
